Supervisory Board

          The members of the Supervisory Board of the Central Cooperative Union are elected amongst the cooperative members for a mandate of four years. The number of the members and the composition of the Supervisory Board of the Union are determined by the General Assembly but the members cannot be less than 5 or more than 9.
          The Supervisory Board elects a chairperson amongst its members.
          Within their mandate the members of the Supervisory Board are obliged to take the complete managerial staff training and qualification programme as it is approved by the Central Cooperative Union.
 
Powers
 
          The Supervisory Board of the Central Cooperative Union controls:
                  1.      the overall activities of the Union and its management bodies, as well as the activities of the cooperative commercial entities solely owned by the Union;
                  2.      the compliance with the Law on Cooperatives and the Statutes of the CCU;
                  3.      the compliance and implementation of the cooperative goals, values and principles;
                  4.      the fulfilment of the decisions of the bodies of the Central Cooperative Union.
